Safety issues in the Energy Savings Scheme
Safety issues have not arisen in the Energy Savings Scheme. However, IPART is concerned that some practices and products installed could potentially compromise consumer and installer safety. The report by David Hemming and Associates considers the potential for electrical safety issues to arise, in particular with respect to emerging lighting technologies, and makes recommendations for further improvements in the administration of the Energy Savings Scheme. IPART’s response to these recommendations, and proposed actions are discussed in the response report.
