Amendments to the ESS Rule were made on 4 September 2020 with immediate effect. The amendments affect Activity Definition F1 of the Business Appliances of the ESS Rule.
In Activity Definition F1 of Schedule F of the ESS Rule, references to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Refrigerated Cabinets) Determination 2019 (GEMS 2019) were amended to refer to the Greenhouse and Energy Minimum Standards (Refrigerated Cabinets) Determination 2020 (GEMS 2020).
Transitional arrangements were introduced to allow for calculation of energy savings before the commencement of GEMS 2020 and to provide certainty to ACPs.
