Power Factor Correction Energy Savings Formula

This method calculates energy savings from the installation of Power Factor Correction equipment

About this method

The Power Factor Correction (PFC) method applies to activities that result in electricity savings at a site from the installation of Power Factor Correction equipment.

The Electricity Service and Installation Rules of NSW require that power factor for any site to be above 0.9 lagging. As such, the energy savings certificates calculation is only based on power factor corrections from 0.9 to a maximum of 0.98.
