Access to information collected

No attempt will be made to identify users or their browsing activities except, in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the Internet Service Provider's logs. 

Use of information collected

Your e-mail address will only be recorded if you choose to send us a message. Your e-mail address will only be used for the purpose for which you have provided it and it will not be added to a mailing list or used for any other purpose without your consent.  Aside from your name (unless you request that we do not release your name), any personal information, such as postal address, on a submission provided in a personal capacity to one of our Public Inquiries will be removed before placing/posting the submission on our website. 

Google analytics

IPART uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”) to improve the performance of this website and to monitor website traffic.  Google Analytics uses “cookies”, which are text files placed on your computer, to help the website analyse how users use the site. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website (including your IP address) will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the United States.

Google will use this information for the purpose of evaluating your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for IPART and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage.  Google may also transfer this information to third parties where required to do so by law, or where such third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Images of people now deceased

IPART is aware that some Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders are disturbed by the depiction of deceased members of their communities.
